This is my attempt at white objects.  Not completely happy with it yet.  I don't think I have the shine on the bowl like I would want it but not sure how to get it.

Linda, I think you have done a lovely job here. I do not paint in oils, so can't help much with technique, but I'm sure others can offer some advice if you need it.

Linda,

I think you did very well for a beginner.  Nice shape on your peppercorns.  Nolan's suggestion should make a difference.

Thank you Sharon!

Thank you Nolan!  I defined the peppercorns plus I softened the blending and added a touch of white to the right side.  I am happy with it now.

Thank you Mea!

Before I messed it up by adding the peppercorns...

I had to redo the table completely, the shading was completely off.  It is much better but it may be too blue now.  C&C would be much appreciated.

When I started I never thought I would manage to paint this.  BTY, the bowl was perfectly shaped until I painted it and push the lines...  little shaky hand maybe.

Love the shininess to it, Annie.  I'm sure the photograph does not do it justice.

Hope you try the peppercorns again.
