Thanks Nolan, I will try that. And thank you Jennylyn, Maryna, Dennis, Val, Lillian and C. for being so positive. Some of these lessons are coming together now and I am trying some other stuff on the internet too, though it never seems to be as well explained as on Paintbasket. I need more time in a day.

You have done a great painting here Karen! Congratulations on bringing it all together into one art work. We can clearly see you have worked hard and it's paid off with a painting you should be very proud of. (Is it for sale?)
I particularly like your signature set against the dark colour and, the theatrical arrangement that reminds me of Dennis explaining about compositions in one of his great tutorials.

Karen... this is really beautifully done. Love everything about the painting, the colours, the composition and wow... what a great job on the fabric too

Thanks again for all the comments everyone and welcome beeps68.
I used a different canvas and I'm not getting so much paint lifting but i have to use the "golden' open paints differently from my regular acrylics i think.
I am still working on the white fabric which turned very gold under the light. This painting is a bit unfinished I think but i'm not sure what to do with it now. Advice anyone?

Beeps
to the PaintBasket family. You will absolutely love it here and learn so much.
Karen... I absolutely love the painting and the colouring
. Maybe what could be bothering you is the plate/bowl... on the left side it seems to be curling up IMHO... however I am no pro...so I am sure Nolan/Dennis will pop in to give advice.
