Love your painting Nina! The muted red is great with the greenish pears. I like the mottled background. Shadows look really good to me and the color are quite accurate too. Congratulations O0
The moment you find yourself mostly satisfied with a painting and think you'll "just quickly" do this or that, that's the moment to stop completely. Take the painting off your easel and put it aside for at least 24 hours, then reassess whether it really needs that tweak.

Well fellow painters I decided to quit working on it. I highlighted the right side of the background where the light came in, which I feel it did gave it more depth. Did some more work on the pears. I thank each and everyone of you for your comments and suggestion. I did this in acrylic.
I found the frame at Hobby Lobby 50% off.  :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: I love sales. Plus I had 40% off of regular price things. Bought some more watercolor paints. Saved there.  :yippee: :yippee:.
Have fun Painting.

Everybody  :thankyou: :thankyou: I was very pleased with it. I was very excited to fine the frame for it. I think it was made for it. In fact I did not take the picture with me when I picked it out. Got home and put it in the frame and the rest is history. I will put it in the art show. Maybe I will get lucky and sell it. I need to make up for all the money I have spent.  :2funny: :2funny:  The art show goes from May 18th to the end of June.
