Just had a boo in your gallery Janice, I see you're getting well into your drawing course. Good on you.  :yippee:
Looks good and you did a great job freehanding the barn.

:offtopic: I know, I know. You can go back to your acrylic/oil chitchat now...  ::) ;D

You bet you can Janice. With acrylics I always shade the sky, leave to dry and then do the clouds, it's the easiest way  O0

Hi everyone

With Xmas gone, time to get stuck into some tutorials. This one is Landscapes 2 - Clouds. Acrylics on split 406mm x 508mm canvas panel.

Any thoughts appreciated.

It seems like I'm flying over the ocean.  You've taken us to new heights with this one, Batman.

Nice work!  Good job on the clouds, creative as usual.   :smitten:

Here are my cloud studies:

I used cobalt blue for both and made one sky a bit darker than the other.  What can I do to make these better..thanks.

very effective clouds Mary Lou

What I can suggest is that you fade the dark into the light where they meet inside the cloud. This adds volume to the cloud
