Kris, a very nice painting    Just one point: be very careful in not putting the highlight of the eye in the very center (Curse of the flash) even if you see it in a photo. Should be slightly above the center to make it look more natural O0

This is the parrot I painted for a friends son after I took the class from Dennis. Still did not get the eye right did I?

Kris,

The parrot has beautiful feathers.  Nice claws.  Yup, would flunk an eye test.

Very nice parrot Kris, i think all you need is a bit of light colour squiggles around the eye, also i would add a bit mre colour to the beak it has no rounding but it is a very nice bird.

Good job on the body. I agree with Danielle about the beak.
I would have to see a photo for the eyes...looks like a big pupil right now.

My submission for this lesson. Not sure why but the background appears much brighter in the picture than it actually is!!   I got interrupted so many times.  It forced me to figure out how to continue and blend in when I started again.  Suggestions for improvement please.

Nicely done Sherri. The dark feathers look sleek and shiny. This Tui bird looks like a Zentanglers project.
