Beautifull bird Patricia,      Also you might want to darken the bottom wing , it should be under the middle one.

:thankyou: :thankyou:  Val and Robin for your kind comments.  I was hesitant to post it but thought that as I had put the time into painting it, I would see what help I could get from all our wonderful members and tutor, although having lost most of my lines, it was difficult and my colours were incorrect. Anyway despite it all, I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson.

well done Louisa,     just add a bit of dark under the wing to separate from the body. in the head soften the light close to the dark because it makes a dent in the face.   hope this helps.

KathyS,

Beautiful bird!  Great colors. Lovely tufted white crest - what do you call that?

Hope he doesn't topple over; he be stabbed by that pointed thing.

:thankyou: mea! I don't know what the feathers are called but they sure are an interesting feature of the bird.
Yikes,  :o I didn't  think about that innocent little plant looking like a spear but your right. It does. Eek!  :heeha:

Good thing the birdie has a good grip on the branch.  :2funny:
