Hi Lillian, Val, Tony and Natalie,  Thanks for your posts, extending your warmth and encouragement.  It certainly is reassuring.  I have just watched Lesson 35 given by Dennis which I thoroughly enjoyed but was dismayed when I could  not unlock the lesson in order to obtain the PDF file.   It seems as though this can be obtained before  the actual lesson as I was reading a post where people were painting along with the live telecast.  Is that correct and if so, how does one go about it after registering and paying for the class?  I have contacted Customer Support with my problem and am waiting for a reply.   As for posting my Cosmos, I have no idea of how to do that not being too literate with the computer.  When I left the work force computers were just coming in.  Yes, I am a senior having started painting at the beginning of this year for the very first time in my life and I am LOVING it.  Given time, I will no doubt, find my way around and everything will be like old hat.  It is just frustrating while you are learning all these new things.  Thanks once again for your encouragement.

Hi Patricia,

Before each live class, we receive a template of the subject to be painted so that we can put it on our watercolor paper and paint along if we wish to do so.

You will get a notification in your email that the replay of the class is available and at the same time, or sometimes a little later, you will be notified that the pdf is available.  It may take a few days for Nolan to edit the video and produce the pdf and upload them to the website.

I'm a senior too, so don't let that intimidate you.  If I can get around here, I know you can too.

If you click on the Forum button at the top of the page and scroll down to the bottom, you'll see a title "Forum Tech Stuff".  Below that is "How To".  It may take a bit of time and experimenting to figure things out, but don't worry, we're here to help.  Just ask.  There is no stupid question here on Paintbasket.  :gl2:  :1hug:

Oh, and by the way, if you haven't received any email notifications, just let us know and Nolan will take care of it.  You should also receive a weekly Paintbasket Newsletter.

Hi Lillian,  Many thanks for your reply to my question.  I never received any prior notice of a pdf being available, nor did I receive any serial number to unlock the class I paid for.  I do receive the Newsletters every week so I guess it may just be some minor hitch which will be corrected when they receive my email at Customer Support. I have just been trying to familiarise myself with the site and came across how to upload photos.  Sounds daunting but once I do it myself, I will be more confident.  Anyway, thanks once again for your wonderful support extended to all the newbies.  Take care, Patricia

You didn't need a serial number as you were logged into the site when purchasing, so the system automatically books you in. You then just need to ensure you are logged in at class time O0

Dennis emails a template before the class starts, usually 24 hours before the class. SO if you book into the class after that then you may not get the template. If that happens, just ask for the template when the live class starts and we will give you the link in the chat box O0

If you don't receive the class reminder emails, then you may want to check your spam folder, they may be getting caught up there  :-\

Hi Nolan,  Thanks for your reply to my email and my problem.  I may have booked the lesson too late to receive the PDF information but could not unlock the lesson after, to retrieve this information.  I was logged onto the class way before the class started and I did receive reminder emails of the class starting but no mention of where I could obtain the PDF and both my husband and I checked our spam and nothing was in it.  The problem may also have arisen for my husband who is not a member, paid for my class through Paypal.  Nevertheless, I will keep trying to unlock the class and if I cannot, I shall email you again.  Kind regards, Patricia

Hi Patricia, perhaps this will help.
Once you are logged in press the big blue button (watch pb tv) , then press V iew my unlocked classes. Then select watercolour, scroll down to the class, select watch, and you should have the playback screen and list of template and pdf. If it is the newest lesson, it may take a couple of days before it is available. You will receive an email telling you when it is available.   O0

Patricia - Also, a couple of days before the Live Class, Dennis starts a thread in the Watercolor Live Class thread on the forum.  It will be called whatever the live class is called, for examples "Arums".  He will say that this is the place to post questions about the class, etc. and under that there is a link to the template for that class.  That is where I go to get the template ahead of class time.  Then, a few days after the class, the tutorial and replay will be available in the PaintBaske TV class area.

To make sure you are signed up for the class, you can go to the Watercolor Classes section, and when you click on the class you want, it will say "you have already purchased this class" (or something close to that!).

As for watching the live session, all you do is log in, click on the PaintBasket TV button, and wait.  You will see the clock counting down, and then when it's time, Dennis will come on and start the class.  After the class, when the replay is available, you will get an email saying it is ready, and the replay will show up in your unlocked classes.

I hope this helps some!  I did see you in class, so I know you figured that part out.  I had some confusion the first time I watched the Live Class.  I was afraid I was going to miss it becasue I didn't know to just sit and wait for it to start!

Also, nice to "meet" you.  I'm pretty new here, so must have missed saying "Hi" earlier!

Hi Leana, Sunrai and Val, Thanks once again for the warm welcome received from you all and for the advice as to what I should do to find the PDF file for our latest online Lesson No. 35 Painting Red Roses.  The replay is not yet available but I will continue to try once it is up and running.  I am sure that I am going to love all the lessons for I enjoy the way Dennis teaches.  Everything is a bit overwhelming for me right now but I have no doubt that in time, I will get to know my way around and feel more comfortable.  Thank you for all your encouragement and support, you people are wonderful and I am truly blessed.

Thanks to everyone once again for all your help and the messages of encouragement.  While not being computer literate  and having felt as though I was wandering around in the dark,  Nolan has been a knight in shining armour coming to my rescue, taking my hand and helping me to navigate my way around.  He has been exceptional in his assistance.  It would seem like I don't only need painting lessons but computer lessons too and he has been so patient with me!!!!  I managed to post my Water Lilies which I thought was on the forum but I think is in my gallery .... talk about confusion ...... anyway folks, I will get better with practice, please just bear with me.  I so enjoy this pb family with all the warmth, assistance and encouragement extended by one and all.  It is so comforting.  Thanks once again, Patricia
