just remember that there are many members that have been painting and following the lessons for quite some time now. If you go and look a their galleries you will see that their older paintings were not at the quality you are seeing now, so let that be your inspiration because you can see where the quality of your work is headed O0

Nolan, you are so encouraging, thank you.  I haven't had a look at the galleries, just what is currently posted but shall do so.  However, I am inspired by the high standard of everyone's paintings and if I can aspire to be as good as them, I shall be very blessed indeed.  Patricia     :yippee:

I agree with Val!   :flowers:

HappyChappy,  :welcome:  Sorry to be late on welcoming you too, but I have been away for several weeks.  Don't even feel bad about your work.  From what I saw, you are already better than me, as are most other members.  I felt the same way as you until I understood what this place is all about.  I know I will probably (note I said probably) never be as good as most of these wonderful artists, but that's not my motive.  My motive is to be the best I can be with the time I have; and I figure that I just can't get any better than that!   It's wonderful having you here... and just for the record.. it has taken me a while to find my way around this place.

.... and by the way, Nolan, just what is a "boffin"???  That's a new one for me.

Well, now! I guess I am not very smart.   :'(  I've never heard that word before.  Must not be American :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: 'cause I know all them there American words! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I will go through the pics and see if any are worth posting.  I know it may sound wierd, but I didn't have a chance to take really good pictures.  Being as I am not a professional and I was not familiar with the camera, and no one would wait on me... they are not what I was expecting.
