Rose solitaire

Made this in oil on canvas 90 x 70 cm Iwhen i saw the rose i had to paint it And here is the result

I LOVE roses and that one is spectacular.

Normally I would think a background of almost the same color might compete, but it actually makes it even more beautiful.

You would never think of using a bright red background, but here it is and it works :heeha:

Thanks Nolan it is actually an bourgondish brown red but yes it is harmonious  and pleasing to the eye a was happy with the rose though
