You know what.... I realize now I forgot the smoke from the chimney.... oh well....

I really enjoyed making the tall tree on the foreground - lots of fiddling  ;)

May you find beauty & passion in your life,

AiKe

Ai Ke,

Your snowy scene is very well done (even w/o the smoke).  Perfect cold winter sky.

I'm chilled just look at it and it's 72 here!

Very mice Sherri,  just be careful on the horizontal lines of the walls, you also may want to darken the far shaded side of the house.

Here is my second attempt at Winter trees. I tried this lesson about a year ago but wasn't satisfied with the outcome. :( This one I like much more. :smitten: The copy above has more contrast than the original painting.
For fun, I added light snow using a white gouache.
I really enjoyed the class,  :thankyou: Dennis.
Best wishes.

After the first brush-stroke, the canvas assumes a life of its own; at this point, you become both governor and spectator to your own event. (Anonymous)

Lidiya,

Your painting really has that winter sky that makes me feel cold looking at it.

Great job on this.
