Ai Ke,
You did a really good job on the rocks to make the tops of them blend in so nicely.
Your background trees look misty in the distance, creating a good sense of depth.
The waterfalls from the top and middle of the picture look great. On the bottom set of rocks, the third and fourth rocks from the left look like they need a bit more water as they come over the rocks, especially the fourth one.
This is a very fine painting!

AiKe you have done an exceptionally good job on this waterfall.
Wonderful sense of depth and flow to the water. Colourings are very well done.

Aike, what you have done has been done very well
What is missing are the darker shadows which will give a good tonal range over the painting. Remember it is the values (tonal = lights and darks) that make a painting, more than the actual colour itself. Don't be afraid of the darks. Do this and post the revised painting below the existing one so all can see the comparison

Hi all,
Thank you for all the compliments!
I darkened the water under the falls as well as at the bottom of the rocks and I made some further highlights on the rocks.
Secondly, I used a better camera which ensured that the colors now look like they are in reality

Ai Ke,
Wow, the toned up rocks look much better and you even added that new color value to their reflections in the water.
Good job.

Aike an other nice one, I was going to tell you to add more dark in the water but Dennis beat me to it. Do not touch touch the white tops though, keep it white.

hi
Here's my version of part 2 of waterfall class....... Instead of using the Raw Sienna, i used the Ram Umber by mistake, the left & right side of Rocks came up much darker than actually was required.!
Dennis for the great class....

Cyril,
I went back and looked at how all the others did this lessons and your falls are as good as theirs. It's only the top fall on the far left that seems too rigid looking.
It's your rocks that could use more shading to look more rocklike.
Look forward to seeing how you do on the next waterfall lesson.

Mea , This really looks very challenging as we have to do splashing of the water in controlled manner, if not using the masking fluid.
