:crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:   I am still struggling with the waterfalls ... I think I have a mental block with them ... however, this is my next painting in the series.  Patricia

I thought this lesson layout looked extremely difficult. You have continued with your rather storybook charm. I don't mean that as a negative. It is dreamlike, soft and inviting as if there were a little story that should go along with it. Maybe you don't need to struggle for ultra realism if what you have is ultra Patricia.

:thankyou: :thankyou:  Sarah & Bhavna for your comments.  Sarah you always have the nicest and most uplifting comments which I really appreciate.  Bless you for that, especially as I am struggling with these lessons.

Bhavna, I agree, we should get the backlog over and done with and this is what I am endeavouring to do although there are still so many lessons which I missed and need to do but they will have to wait for another time and day.  While I am experiencing difficulties, I am nevertheless, enjoying the experience and am grateful for the opportunity to paint different scenes.  Thanks once again for your appreciated comments.  Patricia

Patricia,

yea!!!

and...Bhavna   :knuppel2: :knuppel2: :knuppel2:   Lets not say that "B" word again :knuppel2: :knuppel2:

I just realized that i have "forgotten" I had not finished the waterfall series.

problem is;...I'm working on a series of paintings i have promised people and am still behind!!

Lynn P made a comment on the form about always having a couple of paintings going so we can "walk away" ( my words, not hers" ) when we need to so we can "avoid picking up our Violins :2funny: :2funny: "  (not her words)... think It might be a good idea to start on the unfinished waterfall series also.

Truth be told.........I found this series to be very chalenging.may be time to face ...OPPS almost said "the Music" and here I am working to NOT Fiddle :'( :'(

Brian,

I sense someone is a little touchy about his backlog...

Hey Brian, I am so pleased to hear that someone else thought the Waterfalls were challenging!!  Can't wait for you to finish them ... you will probably do so much better than what I did for the frustration I experienced was almost debilitating!!!!  :crazy2: :crazy2:   The first Waterfall scene I painted FOUR times and still could not get it to look realistic but posted the fourth one anyway.   :idiot2:  So, what I said to Val in another post, I say to you too   :gl: :gl: :gl:  with them.  Patricia

I just had a look at all these waterfall #2 paintings and all of you did a great job.  Wow! Sure didn't look easy!   I receive the lesson tomorrow through the club. I am already a little apprehensive as waterfall #1 gave me a struggle.  But also looking forward to it, as I love the challenge! :fight:

For those of you who followed along, good going!  O0 You can be so proud of the outcome.

Oh Brian, you are too funny! It so close to home it hurts, but I have to laugh at the way you put it! :2funny: :2funny:  I have a church all sketched out and well. . . . . "say no more, say no more" in the words of the imortal Monty Python (I think!)

So saying that, I'm off back to whatever b------ awaits me!

Njnjgirl, I like what you have done    My only concern is with the small patch of water at the top. I can't see what is happening there (how the water is flowing). Check it against the original.

 Good job Njnjgirl.  I love your rocks which look almost 3-D.  Good for you.  You are doing better than what I did for sure.   Now onto the next one.  Isn't it exciting to see everyone's take on the same subject?  I love it and am following your progress with each new painting.   Patricia
