Louisa.

You DID it and you did it beautifully.

Be so proud.  You stuck with it and did a magnificent job.  The lampshade would even make Tiffany smile.

You rescued the background so well.

Good for you!!!

I finaly have finished my Grisaille and Glazing class, and as much as I liked the Grisaille, the less I like the final painting. But that is just to the materials. The whole glazing itself was fun and I will give it another try...one day but that will be in oils and not in acrylics.

Wow, Miya, looks like you took on a serious challenge there.

You did a nice job on this.  Love the glow on the wall from the lamp.  Nice rich tones in the colors of the lampshade.

I have watched the lesson but still am afraid to try it.

Good for you!

Louisa--I think this came out really well.  no one would know from the final product that you had  :tickedoff: with it!
Riya, good to see you doing this and I think it went well.  The varied value in the background is pretty and really shows the light well.

Mea, Patricia and Lynn, thank you all so much for your wonderful replies :flowers: .. I like my painting and found glazing something magic. The change from he grayscale into this vibrant and intense coloured painting, awesome. It took a little longer then expected, because ost of the time I am on bed, my back is making life hard and challenging. But riht now at least I can sit for a short time. Hopefully I am able to start a next class soon.

I did finish two more paintings, but those are very different, started with a complete mess on my canvas, two or three layers, every time turning the canvas, and after that I painted what I had in my head. I will upload those later today.
Have a wonderful Sunday and week

Hi Val, Danielle and Nolan,  :thankyou: :flowers: so much for all the wonderful and encouraging words on the paintings. I had a great time and it just feels great to be able to learn and do something new :smitten: . I hope to start a next challenge very soon, which ...I am not sure there are so many awesome classes, But one thing I know for sure, it will be great.
Have a wonderful week,
