Here's my grisaille ready for the colour glazes, I hope.
I think someone bent the lamp when I wasn't looking.

Here is a revised version of the lamp-I realized that I had not painted the table correctly. I did revise the cup, but I realize that is still a little curvy, may still fix a little more. Ray-I know what what you mean by the bend in the lamp, I spent hours trying to get mine straight. Nice job with yours, after getting yours done, I know you must feel my pain.

thanks Val. Since last post I did reshape the left side of the glass to match the right side, so it looks more balanced now

Gail, your lamp definitely looks as though it has a 100 watt bulb in it.
Your painting is brilliant and I too love the detail in the lamp stand. Nice work!

Amazing work on the lamp base, Gail. i hope I can do as well with mine. i found the shading of the vase made it look a little off round even though both sides were the same when I measured - same thing may have happened to yours - looks great revised.

very well done guys, two beautiful renditions
What is messing you around with the cup Gail is the symmetry - get the left and right hand side more equal, then the curves inside will be easier to judge.

thanks Nolan. I did make the left side more like the right, and it is better, but thought I would wait to post until I have some colour on it.
