Finally got to do the last in the Waterfall series which I have been putting off.  Comments/critiques are most welcome.  Patricia

Patricia, I see you got it done. I think it is not bad. A couple of things that I would suggest. The tree on the left is too round. I would also add some darks to the bushes at the top right. Congrats on getting it done.  O0 O0

:thankyou: :thankyou:  Nina and Roxy.  Nina, thanks so much for your suggestions which I will employ just as soon as I finish this post.  I really value your comments and help for that is how I learn and if I can improve in any way, then I will be one happy chappy for sure.  Thanks a ton.  Patricia

:thankyou: Dianne, I agree.  Nina, I have just made the changes which you suggested and it has made a big difference especially the top right hand trees being darkened which somehow gives the painting more balance and the tree on the left doesn't look like a pompom any longer.  There was also a problem with the rock faces because they were far too uniform in the downward strokes and I tried to change them.  I am going to post the changes under this post for you to have a look at.  Still not the greatest painting but what the heck, I am learning every day.   Thanks once again for your advice which I always value and appreciate.    Patricia

Here's my revised version of the Tall Waterfall.  Still leaves a lot to be desired but as I said, I am still learning.    :thankyou:   Thanks once again for your suggestions Nina.  Patricia

:thankyou:  Roxy for your lovely comments.  I really appreciate them. I struggle with painting certain (all) scenes but it is a struggle I enjoy ... sounds like I am nuts .... for who really enjoys a struggle of any kind??? Perhaps I should have phrased it another way .... it is a challenge for me but one which I enjoy.  That sounds better!!!  Anyway, thanks a ton Roxy.  Patricia

:thankyou:  Thank you Sarah.  I think it is a good thing to leave one's painting alone for awhile and then at a later stage, go back and have a look at it for then you see it in a different light and notice all the glaring mistakes.  Patricia
