Alan, it's great to see how you are able and willing to make modifications to your painting from suggestions! I opened them all together so I could compare the differences. Very nice. The carriages look better now and, the shadow (perhaps a shade too dark?) looks really good.

Thanks for the comments TopDog. I agree that the shading was too dark so I have lightened it. I think I might even lighten it a bit more, but I'll leave well enough alone for the moment

Hi Allan, I really like your train composition!  It reminded me of the train ride on the Yukon Trail when we were in Alaska during the summer of 2010.  The mountains, the winding of the train track along the river, the scenery-  I must go and look at the photos again!  Good job!
