:faint:   Whew! I thought for sure I'd have to get that  :knuppel2: out yet again!  ;D   Saved by Dennis!  :yippee:

Great job on these lilies Louisa, and I'll bet they didn't take you a week or more to finish! I haven't really improved overmuch with my time frame, but I just have to keep working at it. I like to think my skill set has improved somewhat since my first attempts, so if I can do it...well, we already know you can!  :yippee:

Oh yes, great roses by the by.  :flowers:
Cheers, Val

Val you really are a tonic to me, you have a way with words that make me giggle every time, my husband thinks I'm mad, sitting here and laugh at myself. Thank you.

Here are my Arum Lilies, minus the white pollen.

I have a question, what is Chinese white?  Is it just a tube of WC paint like the others I bought, or something special.  I thought there were "no white" in WC... just preserved paper.

:heeha: This is gorgeous Annie! Chinese white is a tube just like your other w/c. If you add it on right from the tube it is quite opaque....but sometimes you may have to repeat the process to make it stand out. I have found that it works best if you add it after the painting is dry. Otherwise it tends to melt/blend in with the painting. But, that's just me.  :crazy2:

:thankyou: Dennis, Val, Patricia, Mea, and Danielle.

It would be difficult not to improve with Dennis' clear explanations and demonstrations.

Many thanks Dennis!
Cheers, Annie

 Beautiful, Annie! I love the way the flowers turned out.  :smitten: Nice edges, folds, and shading.
I miss watercolor. I won't be returning to it until after our big move.

Thank you Kathy.  Give me a chance to catch up with you, while on vacation.   I don't do the classes in the order they were released, but in the order of difficulties.  So I am going through the Level 1 at this time.  I don't know if this is wise, but it is less likely to frustrate me with more advanced techniques.

When is the big move?  Lots of work I am sure.
Cheers, Annie

Hi Annie. I think that doing the level one classes is a great idea. I may follow your lead when I get back to painting. I will start a separate post about the move as I don't want to tie up Dennis's watercolor thread.  :painting:  Will post in a moment.  ;)
