Hi there
My speckled sand (small speckles done with  a toothbrush) is about 20-50 metres away (perspective is slightly looking down onto the beach) - it is looking too clean.

Any suggestions appreciated

thank you!

If you post the picture for us to see it would help.  ;)

Thanks Val, I will try and get it posted

I'm practicing my tones by painting a monochromatic painting.

Not long after my post, I reversed the clean lines in the foam and brightness of my sand probably by going too far the other way now-  ::)

Also I probably shouldnt be trying to do this at night under the wrong light.

Any input appreciated

ok. Thank you. I'm unsure whether the sea (behind the foam and near horizen) is finished or not regarding reflections?
My idea is to do an overhanging pohutakawa tree using a textured gel and colouring the foliage with green and red.

I'm hoping its going to go ok.

 I really love this Katie.  I did reply in your other discussion with your first attempt but something went wrong and my reply went missing along with your photo

I still can't see either but don't know if anyone else can lol

I love the way the water looks like it is running over the shells in the surf and the bit of sand in the broken shell is great.

Lisa :-)

Hi Lisa
Yes I saw your reply thank you!  The foam line was too clean so I promptly deleted the pic, worked on the foam line to scrub it up a bit and reposted again!
