:thankyou: I am loving this.  I am hoping my oils arrive on Monday and then I can start painting as well.  I have always wanted to extend my artistic ability and this site is awesome  :smitten: with it.   :cheering: :cheering:

Nice to see the painting up on the wall already Katie :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

The shadows of the foam really adds nice height to the foam doesn't it, well done

Hi Nolan,
I put it on the wall just to take a photo of it to post in here....so is yet to be hung up  :)

That painting was my second attempt at that scene - I painted my first one and completely destroyed it when I painted the foam over it -  :'( it was awful.

So I started all over again (after feeling like giving up !) then took your advice in the tutorial about foam practice, so when I got to the foam bit I practised on a seperate canvas until I felt slightly more confident.

I feel I learnt so much in this tutorial but I found it really challenging....Is this generally quite a hard painting to do??

Katie

it is not a beginner painting, but clearly you are not a beginner anymore by looking at the results  ;D

Hope it's still ok to post here.  Here is my Seashells on the beach painting.  With all the layers this painting took quite a long time to finish, but I enjoyed the lesson all the same. :coffee:

Nolan, you might want to look at your PDF file for this lesson, as your photos would only print smaller than A4 size, hence this is hand drawn in case it looks different!!   :2funny: :2funny:

Ms. Fig,

Lovely shells on the beach.  So soothing to look at.

Excellent painting, Fiona. You are becoming an awesome painter!  I love the serene feeling...you've really done a great job.
