Add some more rain droplets in the sky for extra effect

Wow, Anita...that looks WONDERFUL!  It was nice to hear it's a fun painting...I had the same take on it...until...lol...the third brand of clear cover, like the others, would not stay on the canvas and I was struggling again trying to make it happen with various interventions like double stick tape and a few other notions I took into my head which failed...so my husband, who's watching in amusement says "we" have to get you a REAL exacto knife which in my mind means right now.  Off we go to Staples and get one plus another kind of transparency roll of whatever...I come home, apply it, doesn't stick BUT wow, I was in awe of the exacto knife and how it at least was giving me such nice, clean cuts and voila!  Now, there are REAL windows in my building.. one literally can see right THROUGH them and everything behind them!  So, looks like it will be a while before I get this one done!     Awesome painting!

  Anita!  I had to laugh too!  What else can be done when you've cut two incredibly precise holes in your canvas...I thought maybe it might work well as a puppet show?  Kinda small but maybe finger puppets?  I am undaunted though...already on Take Two!  The first ones looked better though...LOL...anyway, kudos again.  I LOVE yours!

Mary, I think I may have the answer for you....mixed media! That's right...mixed media.   
Take a couple of little pictures of something....stick them on the back so they're visible through the 'windows', maybe some little curtains...voila...mixed media!   
Perhaps Lillian could help out with this....any suggestions Lillian?

The other consideration is I could make it a kind of seasonal painting...I could put Christmas trees in the window, Easter eggs, hearts, pumpkins...you name it...the sky's the limit!

Mary,  try the clear contact paper that is with the shelf lining at Walmart. That stuff really sticks!!

Mary, I get my contact paper at the dollar store.  It's called book covering.  Nolan recommended it.

It's stickeeeeeeeeeeeee!  No problem at all!

My other recommendation --   not so heavy-handed with that exacto knife!

This is crazy, isn't it, Lillian?  I've gotten exactly that...I'm wondering though...might it have anything to do with using a gallery canvas vs. the flat kind?  Could THAT be the issue?  Not only does it not stick, it curls up on the edges of whatever it is I'm masking.  I just ripped off the lady with the umbrella...it came out so badly that I have no choice but to paint it freehand now and that is NEVER a good thing!
