Hi Bubebar and  :welcome: to paintbasket.  Once you get the hang of it, you will find this Forum to be great.  Wonderful teachers in Nolan and Dennis and all the Forum members are friendly and supportive.  I would suggest to click "Forum" and then go to "New Members read this first"  you will then see a thread from Nolan that talks about how the Forum works.  Basically you can post under several headings from Watercolor, acrylics/oil or drawing/pastel.  Be sure to create a Gallery so you can post your paintings and share on the forum.  Glad to have you here :yippee: :yippee:

Hi Barbara, :bigwelcome: to the family.

if you click the forum button in the light blue bar running across the top area of the page it will take you to the main forum page.

From there you will see the forum is broken down into General headings, eg. Oil and Acrylic Painting.
Under each of those you will find sub headings, like Oil / Acrylic General chat or Oil / Acrylic Live classes.
Some of those have been separated even further.

The idea is that when we post something we post it in a place where it is easy to find, eg. there are members who are only interested in watercolours, so it would be very frustrated for them to look through a heap of oil painting stuff. It also makes it easier for the tutors to get to the questions relevant to them quickly.

When you want to post something you find the most appropriate heading to post it under.eg. lets say you have painted the tulip from the oil painting classes and you want feedback from the members. Then you will find the Oil Painting heading, then under that the Live class heading and under that the Tulip class heading.

If you click that heading you will be able to create a post of your own and add your painting to the post.

Others, including our tutors, will then see your post and comment.

If you have never used a forum before, then THIS link will show you how to do the basics like post, etc.

Then there is also a special How to heading on the main forum page. You will find it near the bottom of the page, so scroll down. Under that section you will find tutorials on how to use the gallery feature, etc. You can also click HERE to go there now.

Then of course as with all public areas, the forum has a few rules to ensure the forum remains a friendly place. They are listed under the New Members Read Here First section which you will also find on the main forum page.
You can also click HERE to go there now

The forum, and our site in general, does have a learning curve attached to it because there are many advanced features on the site, but once you have learnt how everything works you will find it the best art site on the net  :heeha: ;)
