Thank you Dennis.
Here is my Hibiscus. The lessons are getting more challenging now, and challenge is good.

Thank you Patricia!
Doesn't the base of the pistil looks like it is floating?

When I first saw this I thought it was an acrylic or oil painting. Very vibrant and beautiful.

The colors are great, Annie. Nice background.
In future, you should have the vein follow the contour of the leaf more consistently.

Annie, I went back and looked at everyone's Hibiscus and the Pistil is exactly the same as yours. Perhaps you can darken it at the base so that it doesn't look like it is floating but wait for Dennis to have a look and he will put you right.

Mea, I really appreciate your comment and wish to incorporate it in my work. But can you, please, explain what you mean? Isn't the vein in the center?

Annie,
Sorry - guess I may have used the wrong terminology. If you look closely at hibiscus flowers, their petals have small veins running through them. The veins go from tip of the petal to top of the stem.
I guess these on the painting were more impressionistic, as the stems on a real hibiscus are very subtle - hardly notice they are there.
