Lovely job on the strelitzia.  It is such a beautiful and unique flower.

Thanks Susan, Mea, Jill, Dennis, and Bellarina much appreciated. Yes Mea these are beautiful flowers. I have done these in acrylics. I am thinking of doing another one sometime in the future.

My submission for this lesson.  Some days I think I might be getting better and then some paintings like this one set me back!!  Here it is - suggestions for improvement please.

Sherri,

The shapes are all good, but the color is just not vibrant enough for the flower.  I had the same problem and someone said to do a wash over each color, maybe more than once until the color gets bright enough.

Worth a try because the flower itself is very well done.

Sherri, Well done :clap: :clap: :clap:  To show the flower up you need to darken up the leaves to give enough contrast O0
