Sometimes I think I've hit a road block, and then the solution hits me 2 or 3 days later. So don't give up! I'm waiting with bated breath to see this completed. Love it so far.

All paintings have their doubtful moments... when you think you've lost the plot of your design, and then suddenly they come together.... bang! Definitely worth persisting with this one!

Updating the koi pond painting.I have difficulties in cleaning the brushes. After wiping clean there is still some pigment left and this is enough to take away the brightness of the yellow. So started using different brushes for the lighter and darker colours. I would like to know how the PB experienced oil artists do this
Please do comment. Do you think I am losing the focal point? The red fish stands out the most now.

If I want crisp clean colours I will often use several brushes, one for each colour.
The red does stand out, but the large fish remains the focal point with the red one as a secondary
