Thanks, Louisa.  I keep looking at it and thinking I should tweak it!

Wow! Brilliant colours could well be your trademark Mea!  :heeha:    A few tweaks as Nolan suggested and it will be a great piece.  O0

Thanks, Val.  As of late, I have gravitated to bright colors.  But, I really need to spend more time on learning the techniques!

Mea - I love it when you critique your own paintings!!  Had me laughing out loud.  I love the bright colors they just need to blend into each other!  I also get my colors a little on the bright side sometimes!!

Think my grasses rather ruined this one, are they too uniform?  Looked so simple! :2funny: :2funny:

Ms. Fig,

Overall, you did quite well.

Love the great distance you conveyed in the background.

Those two long tails of grass seem too formulated.  Add some random grasses around them.

More shading would help, too.

Don't feel bad, I really messed up on this one.

I like that you added the front left side bush.  I was wandering if the waves could bigger as it comes towards us, it might give the depth of the water.  Also add one more bird, it is better to have 3. Lovely painting Fiona.

the grasses are much better now Fiona. Lovely painting :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
Just be careful of not thinning down your paint enough when doing the grasses. If you don't thin the paint down enough you have to press too hard to get the paint off the brush which makes you loose detail O0

Ms. Fig,

Yes, this version is much better.  Grasses look more random.

I worried about the person whose footprints are in the sand.  He has a very strange walk - looks like he jumped from from footstep to footstep.  Or two people side by side, putting one foot in front of the other.    They would have failed a sobriety test.

Good on you for staying with it.  Nice job.

Thanks Nolan, Danielle, Bellarina.

Mea you had me laughing about the footprints, never actually stopped yo think how they would look! :2funny: :2funny:

I know I dont make my paint thin enough, its a hangover fear from thin paint cracking on me!!  Will try to do that next yime!
