Thank you Dennis :flowers:  for your encouraging comment and advice. You are right, the beach houses are the main focus. I am glad that the adjustments look good now, i don't have been at the sea often, till now only 4 or 5 times. I just thought it seems right to put in the light strip of the distand sky and i loved the purple.

Thanks Val for your comment, i'll keep the painting as it is O0 .

Small painting i made this weekend, a hippo in the evening. Love the sky and landscape background, but really have to work on painting water.

The painting is 24x30 cm stretched canvas. The photo i used didn't have much colour in it, but maybe i have overdone it...but i like it. :) :smitten:

Rita, you are a busy, busy lady.  You paint more in a day than I do in a week!!... and they are all very lovely!

I finished this evening a painting after almost two weeks. This landscape is a beautiful forestpath where we walk a lot. Here we also find many different toadstools and mushrooms, it, Deldener Esch, is one of our favorite places to go.  It is always beautiful, but now it just looks fantastic it is a great place to make photo's and i always wanted to try and paint this path.

:2funny: Tania, you are really quick with replying  :2funny:
Yes, this is a great place, very quite, sometimes a car that is taking this path as a shortcut, and a farmer who walks his old dog here. Beside us we don't see here often someone, and we never see anyone else making photo's. In every season this path is beautiful, but now it is like a fairytale, so beautiful i just had to paint it because photo's don't show the real beauty of it.

Rita,
 Your Gaugan (sp) is very well done, and those small changes that you made to the Beach houses have (in my opinion) made a very large favourable change. Like Dennis suggests, I would now "leave it alone" and don't "fuss, fidget, or fiddle".
I really like your forested path autumn painting. It is great  O0
Keep up the good work,
Tom

:thankyou: Tania, Bhavna, Tom, Valweb, Val and Diane for your lovely comments, this was just a great painting to do and i really loved it. It is really different if you paint something you are so familiar with. I really like the paintings from our  :smart: :smart:  boys, but this one is special. I have so many beautiful photo's, and this will not be the last one that i will paint from our walks, nature or borderwalks.
