Some lovely paintings on here.
I really enjoyed painting the mountains, although my mountain do have the "cartoon look" happening.  The steamship was also fun, but the water completely frazzled me  :D
By the time I had finished, the steamship looked like it had hit some rough sea (in the middle of the lake!) and seems to have got lost in painting....lots more learning to be done  :)

Your mountains don't look cartoonish at all!

A J,

I love the wake on the lake.

As for the mountains, I think it's the brown color that makes them look odd to you.  Since your sky is a blue-gray, maybe a light wash of that color on the mountains might make them look more natural.  Oh, and a bit of reflection of mountains in the water, too.

If I am all wrong on this, somebody speak up please.

But, you really did well on the painting itself, especially all the details on the steamboat.

   AJ you did a great job. When I think back to mine, my mountains looked like loaves of French Bread and your mountains look like mountains so don't be concerned.   Patricia

As I recall when we first did this lesson we didn't have reflections. I'll have a peek back and see..... no reflections, so I wouldn't worry about that.
In the area between decks perhaps lift out some of the dark colour and put in a bit more (bit lighter)red colouring. That would bring the ferry more to the fore.

Overall, great painting AJ.

Gee...I don't know how I missed these!  Great jobs everyone. I loved this class, and you have all done such  wonderful paintings.  I like how each of us have our 'own' depiction of the lesson.
