Good start Louisa.  :clap: The problem I see hear is mainly with the values. Darken the mountain on the left (foremost), that will create more depth and help your ferry stand out. I'd suggest a bit brighter red on the funnel to add add more punch. Lift out a few of the gray snow areas, keeping in mind your light source. If you want more distance, you could lift a bit of colour from the main mountain as well, and/or lighten the sky a bit. Your call !  ;)

Here is my version of the Steamboat. Enjoyed the lesson  :smitten: but seems I overworked on it. :( Finally, decided to stop and leave it alone.
