Ok all--I wasn't going to post this at all because what a mess. Don't have a clue about some basics, like how to do a color wash in sky and water. Tried to go over the sky (thus the dark color) but just more mess. Is there an early video on the bead thing Dennis was talking about. I am much more comfortable with the little detail stuff but mountains, sky and water--yikes. Give me a million little straight lines to paint and i am happy
Help please
Natalie and Val--great job.

Super job Natalie!
Looks fantastic. I think I may have to go back and do the lesson on how to paint mountains!
Either that, or it's just flatlands for me!
I'm really hoping there's no mountains in the next one. Boy, am I ever glad there's no 'detail' in this one...

Boy, these are appearing like popcorn in a pot!
Lynn, fantastic job! Once you finish
painting the water on the port side of the boat it will look even more impressive. (couldn't resist). Beautiful.
Jenny, great job
I don't know if I'll ever be able to keep up. I'll have to go back and try to get an extra lesson or two in between classes. Will probably help immensely. I might even get to the point I know what I'm doing!
You did a really great job...do you tutor?

Jennylynn and Harald, what a pro job. Your mountains look like the real deal and pretty coloring. Awesome. Yes, Jennylynn--this is my first live watercolor class and couldn't believe that Dennis kept talking about how slow he was going compared to the usual. Wow!!

Val your start is BEAUTIFUL! I love your mountains.
Lynn your painting is so warm and inviting! I think your details are perfect.
Harald I am envious.
Jennylynn-it has a chilly look to it with your snowy mountains.
I'm just amazed at how different they all are!

Well, what can I say? You all did great, each one different.
I can't believe how many of you were able to paint along today!
to each of you!
I know I need to go back and learn some basics, like mountains, before I try this one! I better get

Thank you all for your kind comments. This one might take a bit longer than the last, but I will get it done.
I've definately got the first part accomplished. It's the second part that confuses me!

Natalie, the first one again and with such a nice picture. Really well done.
Val, a good start, looking forward to seeing the finished picture.
Lynn, you are too hard on yourself, what is wrong with a more dramatic sky? and there is a good depth into the mountains, isn`t it?
Jenny, fast as usual, and with such a great result.
This is really fun you guys.
Harald

Harald, Jennylynn, LynnP and Natalie, I am in absolute awe of you all.
You have done a fantastic job. Thank you Dennis for an enjoyable lesson once again. I am posting my paint-a-long but lost my life boat somewhere along the way (in more ways than one!!!). Nevertheless, I am still learning and there is much to be desired but I will do better next time. Everything is a challenge for me but I am persevering for I so enjoy it. Patricia
