Here is my painting for the old wood lesson. I worked on this about 8 hours until I finally came up with something I liked. Kathy

Kathy,
I like it too. Not sure if it's the photo, but I think it could use more dark contrast to give it some POP.
Otherwise, you did wonderfully well.

Hi Everyone,
Long time since I found time to paint or write on the forum but I keep following up all your wonderful artwork.
Here is my submission, suggestions? The chain doesn't stand up.
It was very challenging likely because I haven't paint for a while, but this is what vacation is for. Conclusion: I need to take more vacation

Welcome back, Annie. Take a small round damp brush and lift out all the highlight areas on the chain links. That will make difference

Hey... nicely done Annie! No critique coming from me.... I remember only too well the catastrophic, apocalyptic, and somewhat explosive feat of surviving that live class!
I could not in all honesty call it an accomplishment! How I'd love to do it all again!
We do have replays... and I will be in need of lots of practice... perhaps...

Thank you Dennis, some improvement. Thank you Mea and Val, fun to paint again... outdoor in a beautiful garden in sunny and warm Colorado.
