JennyLynn and Val--Yours are awesome. I missed all those crazy troubles Val had because I couldn't get on, getting the message that said something like "Resource Limit reached". So I printed my pic and began with the plaster the best I could (not of course using Dennis's technique) and finally got into the class after about 50 min. I guessed on what to do, so I splattered masking fluid over the plaster and layered washes over it. THEN, when I finally saw Dennis's picture, I realized that my color cartridge on the printer was giving out and that I had a washed out pink and blue version,---oh well, the exercise was fun non the less and learning to improvise has it's merits, huh Val

OH, when I saw the real colors of this pic, I went back and darkened brick a bit and lightened wood some. Think it's a bit better. Thanks Dennis for a great class

Oh you guys....
I was just determined to paint this week after the muck up I made of last week. Do you see a trend here?
Thank you for all your encouraging comments... and not laughing too hard.

Nice job ladies! Sounds like you had a blast!
I had a late invite to my cousin's birthday luncheon so I was unable to join again today...
Looking forward to trying it after it is posted!

Dennis. I missed the live class as we were away for the weekend. Someday I am going to try my hand at watercolours.
All the water colour paintings I see here are so inspirational. Well done!

Thank you
Rita, Tania, Val, Lillian, Red, Mary. Brian, Bhavna. This was a fun exercise.
Lillian--Feel terrible that I have not posted about your college experience although I have been following it closely. I've had no time lately, although you seem to always take the time to keep us updated on all of your classes. So appreciate it, as we are all learning along with you. Your posts truely do create a picture with words. Especially love all your geode drawings and paintings and I have already learned from you that you can blow up a small area of an interesting subject and paint as an abstract. Never thought of that before. I think you will love doing your old master copy using the gray scale. When I have done that, I didn't really want to apply color over it because I liked it so much. I am especially interested in the idea of doing a master by using full strengh color--almost seems like what some of the Warhol's were done in. Please show us when you get finished.
