This is my attempt at painting the beautiful Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park, Alberta.
I'm really not totally happy with it. I think the colours are a bit too vibrant.

Knock, Knock, Knock.

:2funny: I was waiting for the rest of the knock-knock joke!  :2funny:

On to less serious subjects .....  :jk:

Alan, I see nothing wrong with the colouration of your mountains. I think the reflections are a bit too dominant. The little peninsula with the trees...needs to be grounded, at present seems to be 'floating' above the water. The rest I'd leave alone.  O0

I thought it was a knock knock joke too, Val!

Alan.. I like your sky and the over all painting.  I do agree with Val on the things she said.  I can see that this is indeed a beautiful place!

Hi Alan,
I agree regarding the reflections. Unless the lake is "dead calm" the reflections should have bit of a "ripple" to them to show water movement. However, with that being said, I have seen really calm water and maybe that was your intent.
Keep up the good work,
Tom

Yeah I agree with the reflections - they need to be broken up a little.  The one thing worrying me is the very light stripe on the right side of the trees.   Maybe extend the hill on the right to cover this.   Otherwise a great painting.  I like vibrant colours.  Well done....
