Nice Jennnylynn!  How you do this so quickly just astounds me!!  I can't even imagine painting along, let alone finishing it this soon!!

Question - How long were you painting before doing the paint-alongs?  Or did you just jump in? Maybe that would be the way to go - like being pushed into the water to learn to swim?
Anyway,  :congrats:  for doing this so well!!

Brian - I really like your painting!  The wind is up in yours  ;D .  The wind is really blowing the spray! I like that effect.  I really do admire you for painting along.  I guess I'll just have to jump in, but not next week - next year!! I know I'll be   buckets when that time comes!!

Brian and Jennylynn, I think both your paintings are very impressive.  I have just started the online sessions and know it will be a long time before I will be able to paint along.  There is so much to learn if you are beginner!

Georgia F & SunRaiI'm sure Jennylynn and the rest of us who 'Gallop" along behing Dennis will all tell ya the same thing.. Best painting decison we made and it's no wheres as scary as we thought it would be. :help: :help: :help: :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
Lookin forward to you joining us on the Gallop  :2funny: :2funny:
Joking aside, I find that not having time to "think" allows me to intuitively (sp?) pick the right color amount of water, etc.  Do not ask me how that happens, but it does...I think it's because we are being "schooled" so well by Dennis that we internalize the info with out realizing that we have!!
If you had told me that I could paint this well by now, when I started with PB, I would not have believed it. and a lot of that is the support that we all give each other.. It makes it a "safe" place to explore our creativity.  And Dennis and Nolan set that "tone" of safety!!!(  Thank you   :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: both)

Brian

Here is my contribution to the lesson.  Nice scene as it reminds me of many along our coast and also in Hawaii.  Looking forward to vacationing in the winter with my watercolours--so much easier to transport than oils. Glad I am taking lessons with Dennis so that I can do so and not be so frustrated with watercolours.  Nice to see all the other versions.  Congrats to all who participated

Jennylynn... girl you are a real trooper... always finishing the class and posting right away. And.... while doing a good job at that!
Brian, looks like you are catching on really fast with these paint alongs too,  O0 O0

Natalie, I too have a problem with water.. don't know why it intimidates me.  You do a fine job.. don't be hard on yourself!

Gail,  good to see you back lately.  I haven't seen you here in a while.  Your paint along looks great.

thanks for noticing I have been away Diane.  We travelled across the country for 8 weeks to visit with family and see our son and his new wife get married.  I am very behind in my lessons and posts.  Working my way through them all.
