Changing Picture Orientation

I have 2 paintings in my gallery that are not oriented properly. They look correct on my computer, but when I uploaded them, they were "laying on their sides". I even tried to "compensate" prior to upload, but ended up with the same result. What am I doing wrong?

It was an application (program) issue on my computer. It just took me a while to figure that out, and try a different program to change orientation. All is good now.
