This is one I did recently in memory of my dad who passed away in May. I loved doing this one. I hope you like it. Please tell me what you think. I did it with skin toned pastel pencils and soft pastels on the smooth side of pastel paper. It took me about 4 hours all up.

Zilpa, I commend you for what you did here. But I cannot give you any input because I don't know that much about portraits. But I can see you are on your way. I will leave it up to our wise teachers.  Nice job O0 O0

Thank you all very much for your lovely comments. It was a great healing process.
Thank you Dennis it is good to know I am on the right track with the pastels as I only started dabbling with art about a month ago.

Beautifully done Zilpa, I love his eyes. I see a bit of that cheeky glint I knew so well in my dad's eyes. Thank you for sharing.

I have a photo of my dad I want to draw, then you'll know where my humour comes from!  ;D

Thanks Val, I hope you do paint the picture of your Dad I would love to see it. I am now wanting to learn framing so I can frame the picture. I am setting up an art studio and he is going to be the first on my wall.
Cheers Zilpa  :thankyou:

You must post a photo when it's done. Good luck with the framing.
