How about a little sunshine to brighten up the February blahs?

I live to draw and paint, it a good thing that I don't have to draw and paint to live!

Okay, perhaps a seascape

Or, this sunrise my Nephew took going to work at the mine in Sparwood, BC - at the crack of dawn  :2funny:

February, for most of my life, was very snowy and cold which reminded me of this picture taken in 2002.  Yup - most days were overcast, with no sun!  Hope you enjoy.

Brrrr that is one chilly looking pic! Beautiful though - I can just hear the snow crunching under our boots as we walk.
Great challenge photo, Lanie!   O0

Trattoria Sempione:  This was taken in Venice, Italy from the canal in September 2012.
The exposure needs a little adjusting... sorry.. had a problem with this photo.
To clarify the origin of this picture... It is a photo I took myself.... with my permission for everyone to use for painting.

Looking good so far everyone.

At least so far it is individuals photos.

I was thinking of suggesting we should actually make this a restriction on these challenges - they have to be all our own work. The the resultant artwork AND the images they are based on.

Not just suggestions as a result of trawling morguefile or other online resources.

Batman.
I will have the chance to achieve perfection, when and only when I can remember the future.

That sounds, good, Batman.  I'm not opposed to it; although I am about the worst photographer in the world. :2funny:
All the posts are pretty good so far! O0

Hey, Batman, that's a great idea and that would make the challenge more fun too! IMHO

It's all too easy to grab something off the 'net and post it.

With the exception of the one photo taken by my nephew, the other two are my own, quite mediocre photos! :2funny:

Dianne, I like your contribution, fuzzy or not, it's a great shot!
Gee, I'm a poet and didn't know it.
But my feet show it

Nice Lily picture, Rod. Are you the gardener?

Hi Roxy,
No, I'm not the gardener. :) My next door neighbour has the flower in his garden,
