I thought I'd try a few more abstracts. This is the only one that was presentable. I'm not sure what it is. My husband says it looks like the cosmos. What do you all think?

Nice work Red.
I am a red/purple end of the spectrum junkie, so this one is right up my alley. And it does have a deep space feel to it.
Denise, I did the painting by dropping some masking fluid on, then putting down the hot colours I had already decided on - cad yellow, orange and red and letting them merge and dry intending to add something else to the white spots, but when I took the masking fluid off, a thought popped into my head - "Snowflakes in Hell."
I thought it looked nice enough to leave as is, but that didn't sound classy enough, so then I thought "what would snowflakes in hell be, but a..."

This exercise has gotten out the creative spirit within us, here are many fine pictures.
Many thanks for your kind remarks. As regards my last picture I think rather it is a spaceship with ailiens disguised as humans.
Have tried an other one with more modest colours scheme, called dark dissension.

At last I've had time to take a good look at the paintings posted I am impressed by the zeal that this lesson has created. There is no rights and wrongs in Abstract Paint as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. ALL have turned out well
These lessons were created to take you out of the comfort zone into an area that is normally feared and ridiculed by most. Apart from being a fun exercise it was designed to get your creative juices moving in a certain direction. It also certainly got your imagination moving at great speed
Some of you (Batman) creatively also used extra devises to get different results - There is no end to this
I see Harald very subtly sneaked in a little area of "semi-abstract"
I also personally enjoyed these lessons very much. "Carry on, McDuff."
PS For the clingwrap and alcohol to work properly there has to be enough liquid on the paper. If it does not work out properly then the paint has dried out too much.
