  • Hi everyone, I'm a grumpy old git from Wales.

I'm not one for watching the tv, so usually of an evening I sit and read whilst Mrs. Gog keeps that large lcd company. Yesterday evening though I decided to have a play around with some watercolour pencils, so I sat on the sofa and scribbled away industriously for an hour or so; then I added a little bit of water and a few swipes with a 'dry brush' from scraps of paint left on my palette. And. Um. This is what I ended up with -

Derwent Watercolour and Graphitint pencils on 12" x 9", watercolour paper.
th, th, th, that's all folks ;o)

Scribbling, scribbling? I think not! Wish I could "scribble" that well! This is a nice scene, will you turn it into a full painting? I hope so, its a good composition.

Nice composition Grumpy.

If you did make a final version, the house positioning or perspective may need a touch of reworking though. Something makes the perspective of the house look a bit off to me - the fact that the roof line runs along the same line of the hillside on the right might be what's doing it. Not sure. You did say this was just scribbles though.

I will have the chance to achieve perfection, when and only when I can remember the future.

I like it.
