Don't forget the focal point in photo 2 is the kitty cat!  (Don't want to hurt kitty's ego, you know)
The time it (a work) takes is the time it takes.

PLEASE ONLY POST YOUR FINAL PAINTING.
One painting/drawing per member for each challenge.
Posting more than one version makes it a bit confusing.

Well--Had an evening and almost no time the rest of the month so took a hasty stab at this.  Not great but it was fun trying to put my little people in.

Gee Stoney, I didn't even realise there was a cat in the picture...

Now I know my subconscious reason for not voting for it!

Thank you Denise, Patricia and Jennylynn.  I can see alot of problems after I painted it but I am trying to learn how to alter a picture.  Funny, I clearly don't know anything about gondoleers.  I thought they faced backwards (so they could talk to their customers) but that makes no sense, so now my guy is going to smack his head into the bridge :2funny:

Lynn,  looks wonderful!  The gondoleer, forward or backward is an added touch.  I have some photos of them also.  Guess I should have added one of those so you could get more close and personal with the gondoleer! :2funny:   I wanted to paint this picture too, but when I saw the carriage, I actually voted for it.  I'm not even going to mention painting either of them for the challenge this month.  Last month was a disaster, so if it happens this time, so be it!  Good luck to all!

Lynn, how loose and fun! I never would have thought about which way he is facing! I was known once to be going the wrong direction while paddling a canoe down a little river. I told my little daughter to just pretend we knew what we were doing and the people on land would never notice. They did  . This is very charming.

Lynn, just love your painting.  The colors, looseness and addition of the gondoleir [spelling?] makes me want to get close up to it to see all the details.
