My first painting. Well, that I'm willing to upload anyway!

My local surfing beach in Cornwall, UK, where I lived many years ago.

Any pointers gratefully received...

Hey Andrew  :welcome:  to PB and that's a great painting to start off with!! Hope you will be posting lots more. Are you taking ony of the courses offered?  If you haven't already done so, check out the free classes and get started there . . . . . Dennis and Nolan are fabulous teachers and I'm sure you will just love them!
If you really want to get into lots of fun and stuff, come & join us over in the"Let's Draw, Pencil Drawing Course" . . . .it's just plain fabulous!

Anyway, wherever you go on the site, you are bound to find friendly people and help when you need it! Welcome to the Paint Basket!!!

Andrew, that is really pretty! Nice water, nice mountains and I especially like the detailing in the bottom left corner - nice touch!

I've been working my way through the free lessons, and have enrolled on the current portraiture live sessions. What excellent tuition from the guys here at PaintBasket. I'm delighted by the progress I'm making thanks to Dennis and Nolan's classes.
