Bhavna, Doina and Batman, your butterflies are wonderful  and I also like the background. I think especially the flower is also very beautiful.  :yippee:

:thankyou: Martina. I didn't go for the ultra smooth green Dennis did. He said about simulating foliage in the background or something like that. And I just thought that a rougher background for the green made more sense.

I've now updated to the image with the extra shadow on the body of the orange butterfly.

Batman.
I will have the chance to achieve perfection, when and only when I can remember the future.

Nice Doina and Batman. Bryce your two small butterflies are well executed. Both keepers!

Was there a colored picture of the butterflies on line here?  I couldn't find it anywhere.

You will have to pause the replay for now because the butterflies are cut out and placed in Dennis imaginary style.
Conceive it!  Believe it!  Achieve it!

Well.... I decided I just had to finish salvaging my poor flutterbies.  I've patched up as much as I can, just have to finish the last butterfly, and then.....I'll post it. Don't be expecting any miracles here guys...but it is good for a chuckle!  ;D

Finally back to painting.  Here's my rendition of the Butterfly lesson.  Hope you like it.  THe large butterfly is a little on the leggy side.

Ok, so.... here is the attempted 'repaired' butterfly.    I decided I'll just do another one later. Got rid of the pawprints, managed to cover his glorious cauliflower (much better than mine  :envy: ), might have to give him my crown!  ;D

Here is the 'Artisticat' otherwise known as 'culprit' checking out our next adventure....
  I don't see it
  Sure is taking its time
  Looks like a turtle

Great job painting butterflies, everybody!         O0 :smitten: :1hug:

Val, if I had a darling kitty around, I'd never get any painting done and it wouldn't be the cat's fault.  I just couldn't resist playing, petting and cuddling with Kitty.   :2funny:

Your Atisticat/Culprit is a curious cutie!   :smitten:
