Thanks so much Val, Jani and Lynn. I had some catching up on my watercolor club as I neglected it for a couple of weeks. .....I had vacation and then company so I put this aside for a bit.

I must say I've been enjoying this painting trip to Venice! Things probably aren't as straight as they could have been, but they say Venice is sinking into the canal so any leaning one way or the other is a result of that! Any suggestions for improvement, please send them my way!

Good colors for the background, but the boats are floating above the water. Unless we have a new form of hover-gondolas in the future, the shadows need to establish the place where the water meets the bottom of the boat. I think darkening it would help.
