Here is my submission for the painting challenge. Must apologise for I when I photographed the painting, I caught a bit of my desk in the picture. Don't know how to eliminate or crop it to get the bottom portion off. My apologies. R ..... A......Y!!!! Where are you

Nice work Patricia.
To crop you need edit it in your image editing software. Paint, Paint.Net, Photoshop, Gimp etc.
After it is loaded, you use the selection tool to draw a rectagle around the bit you want to keep and then, depending on which program you use you use the menu or a button to crop (eg Photoshop it is Image>Crop). Just check your program's help.
Photoshop also has a Crop tool that you draw the rectangle and can move it around, then crop when finally ready.
MS Paint (Win 7 Version) it is just a case of using the selection tool to draw around the part you want to keep then click on the button on the toolbar, straight under the View menu there is a button for Select then to the right the top button is Crop.
The Crop tool always looks like two Ls. Like the cardboard Ls you use as a viewfinder - the ones you slide back and forth when trying to frame a view to draw or paint.
Batman.

Batman, thank you so much for walking me through the "cropping" exercise but this computer business is like speaking another language to me. When I left the work force, computers were just coming in and the little I know, I have had to teach myself through trial and error. However, I have copied your instructions and will give it a go. I had a problem downloading the photographs into my Gallery and then I remembered Ray saying that I have to reduce them in size and told me what to do with "Power Toys for Windows XP" and I was quite proud of myself for being able to do it! Anyway, I will see what program I have on this computer ... it may be Photoshop. Thanks so much for your help which is much appreciated. Patricia
