I am so happy to have found this site. 

I have just taken up oil painting and am amazed at my progress.  I never felt I had even a shred of artistic talent.

A friend encouraged me to take her class at a senior citizen recreation program.  She makes it easy and fun!

So far, I have been painting flowers and Hawaii scenes.  I hope to try other things as I gain confidence.

I look forward to hearing from others.

 :welcome:  to the Paint Basket Mea, You will be amazed at how fast you will progress under the watchful eyes and teaching from our tutors who are the best you can get.  Our forum members are also a group of lovely helpful people who will come to your aid with constructive assistance and encouragement when you need it.  In fact, this is the right place to belong in order to grow in your endeavours.  So welcome aboard and enjoy the ride.  Patricia

Hello, Welcome to PB! Glad you found the site - this is such a great place to learn and get feedback and encouragement. I'm more on the watercolor side but look forward to seeing your work especially because it sounds like you're from Hawaii? I am! You'll get lots more "welcomes" very soon, have fun!

Welcome to this wonderful "family". You'll make some very great friends here, and get such important encouragement from all of us, but, especially, your tutors, Denis and Nolan.  They are number one in their profession and excellent teachers.
You will really like it here, and learn so very much to improve on what you already know.
