There are several live classes coming up (this one included) that I would like to take, but as a beginner, would it be best for me to follow the recommended class schedule to get the basics down, or are these classes for all levels at the same time?     :flowers:

Cheers,
Jani

Honestly Jani, I would do both if I were you.  Going in order is great for cumulative skill building but the live classes are fun, you can join in the chat box and all levels of painters participate.  Welcome to PB by the way if I haven't said so before!

Welcome Jani - I've lost track of who I've welcomed and who I've missed!  So, if this is a second welcome, that's fine with  me!  About the classes - the live classes are fun, and you get to interact with classmates and the teachers.  It's something I really look forward to.  I was also new to watercolor painting, and started taking the classes in order, along with the live classes.  I think it works just fine!  I'm not up to painting along with the live classes, but that's OK with me.  So, jump in and enjoy - we are all at different levels and it doesn't matter!

Sadly, I won't make it to the class tomorrow due to a scheduling conflict.  :( I'll just have to wait for the replay.  It looks like it's going to be a fun one!  I bet you'll be  :run: and   keeping up with Dennis on this one!!  I can hardly wait to see some of the "paint-alongs" tomorrow when I get home!

Jani...welcome to our gang at the Paint Basket!!  Love having another in the group.  I sign up for all of the classes, but I am not able to keep up....yet.  I love the day of the class because it's so wonderful to watch Dennis paint, and get so much new information from him. He's so much fun, as is Nolan, and it's great to be able to meet, greet and yak together. (Dennis doesn't throw us out for talking!!!.....well, not yet anyway!!)   :2funny:

I look forward to seeing you in class. I go back many times to the beginning classes to catch up on some techniques that I just can't get, and I am so glad I have them in my library to revisit.  You'll really enjoy joining us and the Clark Boys.

:thankyou: for the warm welcome everyone and for you suggestion! Y'all have talked me into it. I just signed up for this live class. I'll paint my "regular" class lesson in the morning, and I'll participate in the live class in the afternoon. I don't think I'll be able to paint along during the live class, but I'll paint my stately stag later when I can stop and start the video.  :1hug:
Cheers,
Jani

you've made the right decision! I am new to watercolor painting too. I was watching Dennis painting and taking notes on color mixing. Last lesson was the first I tried to paint along. It is a great experience to just watch in the begining. Dennis is a great teacher. Doina

Jani, it's amazing the things you learn when you 'attempt' to paint along. That would be a huge 'ATTEMPT' in my case as you're sure to see in class. I never keep up, I muck up, I get totally lost, but I watch, listen, and splash my way through. It's exciting and great fun. When I actually do something and it works first time....I get so excited I start talking to everyone on the computer...I mean 'LITERALLY' talking to everyone on the computer!  :2funny:

So, welcome aboard and get ready for the time of your life.....it's D-Day!! (Dennis Day)  :yippee:
Cheers, Val
