Wow, Patricia, that is beautiful.  The reflections are great.  Love the columns and the window boxes of greenery.

You did a great job on a very challenging piece.

:thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou:  Thank you Mea, Jennylynn and Jani for your lovely, lovely comments about my painting.  Thank you too, for your continued support and encouragement which means so much to me and makes me very happy to know that you can see an improvement in my painting.  I am conscientious and do try my best but sometimes for whatever reason, I can't seem to make it and when I get such positive feedback it lifts my spirits for sure.  Thank you so much.

Yes Mea, I too, found it a very challenging assignment but nevertheless just so enjoyable as all our lessons are. Thanks to our fantastic tutors Dennis and Nolan and of course to our wonderful forum members who are always so helpful and supportive too.  Bless you all.

Super job Patricia  O0 Nice colourings. This is a more challenging painting for certain. Very well done.
I seem to be having difficulties with the replay. It doesn't want to play past the 49min. mark. I've tried restarting it from around the 49min. mark, even tried right from the beginning but it just quits at 49min.  Has anyone else had this problem?  :help:

Nice job Patricia.  O0 O0
Val I have had that same problem on other replays. like an hour into the replay. Then I had to start all over. Which is hard, especially when you have your watercolor ready to go on the paper, and it freezes.  And my internet connection is just fine. So I know it is not that. Very    about this.

Val, I just watched the video beginning before marker 49, went through it, and onto marker 55, and there was no problem. Just a thought: have you checked your computer for any necessary updates to Java? Sometimes old plug-ins will slow down videos and cause little blips.

Cheers,
Jani

:thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou:  Diwaud, Val and Nina for your comments.  Val, I had a slight problem with the replay which froze.  I waited a few minutes and then re-clicked the start and it carried on, froze on another occasion and I waited again before clicking on the "start".  It worked thereafter.  To me, who knows feathers about computers, it seemed like when we are having our live lessons and it "buffers".  You have to wait awhile and when it is caught up, it carries on playing.  Maybe Ray could put some light on the problem.  Hope you can sort it out for the frustration is draining.  Patricia

Everything is up to date, and the internet has been working fine for a change!  ;D   I tried waiting it out but gave up after almost 1/2 hr.  I'm going to go and try again...not expecting much out of this painting its dried too many times already. I figure what's the worse that could happen...after all...I'm not called the cauliflower queen for nothing!  O0    :2funny:

I can't even get the page with my list of classes to load. Should have saved the pdf file first.  Oh well, will try again later.  :'(

Val, I'm sorry you're having trouble loading pages and videos skipping. If you have already scheduled automatic updates for your computer, then Adobe FlashPlayer should be updated as well. If not, then I would do a quick check from the Adobe website just to make sure that your computer has all the updates it needs to run the videos on this site.

Next, check how much RAM you have left on your C Drive. Start>My Computer>left click on C Drive>Properties. If you have anything more than 50% Used Space, you will need to perform a disk cleanup, and make sure you select the boxes "Compress drive" and "Index files," which should be just below the Disk Cleanup button. Follow the instructions to complete. This process could take a few hours, but it will certainly help your computer run more efficiently and quickly. Also, empty your Recycle Bin, and then Restart your computer. I did this exact process yesterday, and I increased my computer's memory by 48 GB. Everything is now running incredibly fast. No blips at all.

Lastly--and I hope this isn't the case--do a scan for viruses and spyware, and fix, if needed. These use a lot of CPU cycles and will cause videos to skip. Also, while watching your videos, make sure you close all other programs. Again, when too much CPU is being used at once, it slows down your computer and causes skips and unnecessary buffering.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it works out.
Cheers,
Jani

Patricia, your painting is just lovely! Did you have fun doing this one? I am eager to try it...after my son's wedding on Saturday. I have had to put away my painting gear until then.
