I like your fruit still.  Interesting background. 

That still life was the first watercolor lesson I ever did.

Darkening the cast shadow is an improvement.....but I was actually referring to the shading on the shadow side of the fruit themselves.  ::) Guess I didn't explain that so well...  :oops:     :doh:

 :2funny: You explained fine Val, I was thinking that's what you probably meant after I made the change. Anyway, would like to try something similar to this and just do a complete do over....I learned in this lesson, I don't enjoy painting grapes!!

I've only seriously tried painting grapes once....had it all worked out, rough sketched, put down a wash...  :confused: then couldn't decide where I wanted to go with it....so....I ate them!   :licklips:    :heeha:

Denise, if you  beef up the detail in the Pineapple, that will make a tremendous difference to your painting. Also you have the highlights in the grapes a bit too large and in the center of each grape. They should be near the top right hand side of each grape. O0
