Back from a brief vacation in Puerto Vallarta and so happy to be taking another PB watercolor class! This was a fun painting to do - I think my background should have been lighter to make these guys pop more...especially enjoyed learning how to paint the wings for that see through effect...as always, open to any suggestions for improvement!

Thanks, Dennis - as I look at the finished painting I'm really enjoying the whimsical elements of these creatures!

all! Usually I'm not much of a bug person but I'm becoming rather fond of these guys! A photographer friend of mine I showed this to has sent me a few dragonfly photos he's taken over the years so i'll have lots of opportunities to practice what I've learned!
