       Superb job Harald and Denise.  I have to wait for the replay and then may not have too much time for the next week.  I missed not joining in today but it was lovely to see the paintings of those who did.  Good job.  Patricia

Denise, see how the darkened bush has opened up the gap between itself and the distant cliff  - and added punch to the painting O0

Here's my work on the Hake Brush Beach. I had to leave before Dennis finished so I finished this today before the replay. (My colors aren't as bad as this scan makes them out to be.) Yep, I'll redo with the replay. thank you Dennis

Denise, you`ve got a nice picture with a gorgeous sky.
Thank you all for the nice comments, I also appreciate the suggestions. I will follow it up and correct as best I can.
It was fun to use the hakabrush again so I painted a new Picture. Hope it is an improvement.
The first is painted with W&N Artist watercolour on the second I used Cotman.

Carol, I love this.  :heeha: The tide pool is a bit washed out, but as you said it's probably the scan. Regardless, I think the overall effect is great.  O0

Harald, that's a fine re-do. And goes to show that student-grade paint can produce vibrant results. Good for you for your perseverance!

Dennis, thank you for suggesting darkening the bushes. Yes, I can really see how it changes the depth, what a difference!  :thankyou:  remembering that will really be helpful when I do my future paintings .....

Harald, I love your second painting also, thank you for sharing the comparison with the paints. The rock re-do looks great and I'm glad your man now has a head in the second painting ;)

Carol, very nice painting!   I really like the dreamy look it has...

Thank you everyone! for your nice comments  :smitten:  looking forward to seeing your  :painting:  also  :)

I can't add anything to what's already been said.  I'll just say, "Ditto! Well done, Carol and Harald."
