Thank you so much for the information, Sue! The smell of turps used in oil painting has always kept me from wanting to work in that medium, and so I'm really happy to hear that there are alternatives--and inexpensive ones, to boot! And the idea to put all the "smelly stuff" in a plastic bag to be thrown away every day is a really good one.
for posting!

thebryce a fine painting. It`s probably just trying oil. I think it is much better to work with than acrylic.

It is your encouragement, observations and personal experiences that have allowed me to develop in the painting arts. I thank you all!

Jani, All I do is put a grocery plastic bag into my small garbage pail by my painting table... and it's an easy tie up and toss in trash can when I am done
Give it a try

Thank, Val, but I think my bird of paradise was a bit dull.
I will try again.

Hi everyone
As you'd probably know by now, I don't use oils, I use Acrylics.
So here is my attempt at migrating a Watercolours painting to an Acrylics, not oil painting.

Let me know what you think.

Batman,
Yours came out better than mine. I used oils.
But, I am making another one, now that I know what I did wrong. Will post the newer one tomorrow.

OK, folks.
I tried again. I changed the leaves a bit and the second attempt was traced with white graphite so that the lines did not show through. I had done the first one with tracing paper and the lines showed through the light colored paint.
I may do a third version. Still learning. All suggestions.gratefully accepted.
